Welcome to the Corps!

Welcome to TX-9410, Franklin High School’s award winning AFJROTC unit. You have joined a select group of students who represent themselves and Franklin High School with honor and distinction.  AFJROTC is not just another high school class. It is a program focused on developing students into citizens of character dedicated to serving their nation and community. By providing special opportunities in education, leadership and community service, AFJROTC instills discipline, respect for authority, confidence and a sense of accomplishment. Cadets who commit themselves to the program also develop high morale and camaraderie with their peers.

Unit Goals for 2018-2019

School Goals

  • •Cadet corps will dedicate in a minimum 6 recruiting trips per semester to our feeder middle schools maintaining a database of interested cadets to invite to corps events and will participate in a minimum one visit per year to our feeder elementary schools.
  • •Cadet Corps and special teams will operate minimum 55 hours of service to the school per semester.

Community Goals
•95% of Corps will participate in parades, ceremonies, and special teams will perform in a combined 25 events by 11 April 2019.
•Cadet Corps will be the lead agent for three major community service projects involving school, JROTC and local community organizations engaging no fewer than 1000 persons per event and Cadet Corps will average 15 hours of service per cadet from 11 April 2018 to 10 April 2017.

Cadet Goals
  • 80% of the cadet corps will achieve a 2.6 GPA, with no flight averaging less than 2.4 GPA throughout the 2018-2019 school year.
  • Cadet corps will retain a minimum of 50% of 2018-2019 first year cadets.

  •  Respect instructors and fellow students at all times.

  •  Respect all furnishings and equipment in the classroom and treat with the utmost care.

  •  Sit in assigned seats.                                                                                                                             
  •  Maintain classroom in a clean and orderly fashion.

Grading Scale

Grades -The total course will be determined by lecture (aerospace science, leadership education), uniform inspections, and Wellness grades.
